Railways bring us together. An individual’s journey is simple, uncomplicated, comfortable. A ticket is bought, a train is boarded, a seat is found, the scenery is observed, and then the passenger disembarks to meet loved ones. The passenger is unaware of the mechanics of the railways. Complex timetabling, ticketing, electronic signalling, the advanced machinery; they are all taken for granted. This video serves to show the audience how a simple rail journey is driven by a huge team and out-of-sight technology.
