The Biennial Railway Project Award is offered biennially, in the year in which a CORE conference is held, to reward an engineering achievement in the railway industry that is considered worthy of public recognition. Consideration is given to the degree of originality, the significance of the contribution towards the railway industry and the engineering ability and complexity that has been displayed.
If an award is made it comprises a commemorative plaque together with certificates for each identified team member.
